Certificate III in Commercial Cookery – SIT30812

The Culinary Academy Cert Iii Commercial Cookery

This is an entry-level course designed to skill students in the basics of Commercial Cookery.  Graduates of the Certificate III will have gained knowledge across a range of kitchen operations and are qualified to work independently with minimal supervision.  They are trained to offer operational advice, and to lead team members.

Certificate III graduates are in demand to work as cooks in commercial kitchens in hotels, cafes, catering companies and restaurants, and the employment outcomes for students in Noosa for this level of qualification are very strong.

For students who are looking for further study in the cooking and hospitality fields, the Certificate III is the perfect starting point.

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management – SIT40521

The Culinary Academy Cert Iv In Kitchen Management

The Certificate IV is designed to further develop kitchen skills across a wider range of roles.  Students are taught more advanced culinary skills such as recipe development, menu design and catering planning, as well as kitchen management tasks such as staff rostering, financial management and conflict resolution.  Graduates have both the technical skills and in-depth knowledge required to work in positions such as Chef de Cuisine, Kitchen Manager and Sous Chef.

Diploma in Hospitality – SIT50422

The Culinary Academy Diploma Of Hospitality Management

The Diploma in Hospitality is designed to train future managers across both the practical side of the industry, as well as providing the business and management skills required for lead a hospitality operation.

Hospitality management students are thoroughly grounded in the financial, human resources, and customer service skills required to manage and lead a hospitality organisation.  Graduates of the Diploma will also have an advanced understanding of food, beverages, and high level training in catering practices, critiques, food safety and preservation, and maintenance of personal hygiene for catering to their customers.

Pursuing a diploma in hospitality management can assist you in securing an upper-level role in the hospitality industry. It displays to employers that you’ve invested the required amount of work and time for you to further your skill set across broad areas of the hospitality field.
