The Hospitality Boom in Queensland During Summer

Queensland’s hospitality industry thrives throughout the year with a peak season from November to March when tourists from around the world flock to enjoy the sunny beaches, lush rainforests, and lively urban centres. This season not only promises sun-soaked adventures but also a surge in job opportunities in bars, cafes, restaurants, and resorts. From Brisbane’s energetic nightlife and foodie culture to the serene beach bars of Noosa, the variety is endless.

Leveraging the Opportunities with the Right Skills

For those on a working holiday visa, possessing the right set of skills can truly make a difference in landing the best jobs that offer not only competitive wages but also a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture. Hospitality jobs are abundant, but the competition can be fierce. Being equipped with professional hospitality skills such as barista expertise or bartending know-how gives you a significant edge.

Employers in Australia’s hospitality industry look for individuals who are not only hardworking but also quick to adapt and excellent in customer service. Skills in making coffee and mixed drinks, understanding of local customer service expectations, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments are highly valued. These skills ensure you can jump right into roles that offer great earning potential and rich experiences, making your working holiday both enjoyable and financially rewarding.

Before I took this course, I’d never made coffee myself. And I didn’t know anything about coffee. After taking this course, I’m interested in making coffee more and continue making coffee to improve my latte art skills. And I love David, the best teacher for us 💘

Honestly the best food I have had in Noosa ( and Brisbane tbh) for 2 years plus !! The menu wasn’t provocative, or stretching culinary boundaries but the quality was EXCEPTIONAL, All aspects of service were seamless and the friendly warm staff and management is delightful ( refreshingly caring and articulate !) Wine was outstanding . Standout dish the bread dnd butter pudding with amaretto custard and marscapone ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Can’t wait til you start dining again !!!

This is my third visit to the restaurant. The food and wine has always been outstanding, so delicious and plentiful. Last time, the poor waitress struggled with the language. No problems this time. Our young Argentinian Waitress was exceptional, and the 3 courses, 5 star!
